Driver, 81, arrested over cyclist death in CharmouthDriver quizzed over cyclist death An 81-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a cyclist was killed on the A35.
The 43-year-old cyclist, who was visiting Dorset, died when he was hit by a car while travelling up a hill away from the Charmouth roundabout.
The crash happened at about 15.30 BST on Saturday.
The pensioner has been released on bail until November.
Its happening too often that pensioners are involved in fatal accidents.
Is it time they made it compulsory to take a retest at 75??
